In the morning we got our resources together and started plotting out the area where we were going to dig up. Four sticks were placed at each point in the ground to start off with. After that measurements were taken from the distance from the shed already standing to the sticks.
After setting out we started using the pick ack to get the right depth in order to lay the foundations down. Once we dug 5 of the trenches we headed for lunch.
In the afternoon we made a start on the paving, we had to dig around the perimeter of the old paving first and take them out so that digging could be done.

Wedsneday - 22nd April 2009
We had to varnish the whole of a smoking area and two of the bench's also, the weather was great which enabled the varnish to dry onto the wood very quickly. The varnish used to treat the smoking area was "Holz Lasur" this gave the wood a darker texture.
Once all the childrens play areas were varished some of us cycled into Naunhof and saw a small market place, we walked around for a little while and afterwards stopped at "Backerei-Cafe im Bahnhof" to get ice-creams. It was Excellent!
After 3pm we cycled to Naunhof station and left are bikes there to head for Leipzig station. The city was great and we took many pictures, and just to see what cit life was like we even stopped into one of the cafe's near by and saw one of the staff making cakes.
We headed back to Naunhof station and collected our bikes and cycled back to the hotel but on the way stopped at our local store "Rewe" to get a few munchies.

Tuesday - 21st April 2009
In the morning we walked 1km followed by breakfast, and cycled to Naunhof.
We then started work varnishing the playground equipment and fence, unfortunately the varnish ran out so we then cycled into Naunhof and saw the town.
After our dinner we went bowling which was fun with laughs aplenty.

Monday - April 20th 2009
The group started the morning by getting up by 8am then having a continental breakfast which was enjoyed by all. We were then picked up and brought to Naunhof.
When there were given an itinery of what work needed to be done, we then planned out the first task where everyone was split into groups to handle each section. Also we worked out what materials were needed.
Due to the fact that materials were not yet acquired we had plenty free time as we had not been given bycicles and decided to explore the countryside.
After dinner we cycled 7km back to Grethen where we played football until the even closed. Some others went exploring the locality with Martin B.

Sunday-19th April 2009
We touched down in Germany and got a lift from a driver In Leipzig, the funny thing was he droove us round the same roundabout 5 times and didn't know where he was heading until we finally got some assistance and headed to our place of work.
On our way to the youth centre workshop we saw lovely conuntryside with a few turkeys, chickens and sheep, the sun was baking hot which was nice.
When we arrived at the youth centre we got shown around by the people at Naunhof who gave us a ´brief tour. Lunch was brilliant as we ate healthily for a change.
After lunch acton brickyboyz plus the carpenting crew sat down together and plan out what we were going to do over the week ahead.
When we got to the hotel some of us played some football since the weather was good.
